Spotify at dmexco 2016: The Power of Music and Data

Spotify at dmexco 2016: The Power of Music and Data

Germany’s biggest digital marketing extravaganza is back – and this year it’s bigger than ever. Next week, a whopping 50,000 marketers, advertisers, and publishers will descend on dmexco for two days of cutting-edge programming and experiences. And of course, Spotify will be there!

Check us out in Hall 7, booth C029-D028, or join one of our three seminars on the Congress Hall main stage. We’re also hosting a live set by one of our favorite artists, Zara Larsson – so don’t miss her performance at the afterparty on Wednesday.

Here’s what we have in store:

Audio Everywhere

Whether we are at home, or on the road, our lives are becoming ever more connected. And increasingly these moments are without screens. You can tell your phone to call you an Uber, ask your Amazon Echo to read the news to you, and command your car to play your favorite song.

In a voice-controlled world, audio is going to become the most powerful way to build relationships with consumers. That’s why we’ve introduced the market’s first audio programmatic offering.

Where we’ll be talking about it:

Seminar: Digital Kills Saves the Radio Star

September 14th, 12:00pm – 12:45pm, Seminar Room 4

Language: English

Panel: BVDW Online Audio Panel

September 14th, 2:00pm – 2:45pm, Seminar Room 1

Data-Powered Stories

Love of music is universal, yet our individual tastes are highly personal, dynamic, and context-dependent. Music is a strong emotional trigger, and people turn to it daily and more frequently than they do other content.

Our average user spend more than two hours with us every day, giving us unique insights into their activities and mood. Coupled with first-party login data – which tells us who and where they are – this gives us an unparalleled understanding of our listeners.

Take gamers, for instance. We know them based on when they pull up Spotify on their Playstation. Or fitness fanatics – we know when they select their favorite workout playlist. We know headbangers too, because of their genre preferences. This allows brands to find the perfect moment to present their message, and to build deep emotional connections across connected devices.

Where we’ll be talking about it:

Keynote: What Does Your Selfie Sound Like?

September 14th, 6:00pm – 6:20pm, Congress Hall

Language: English

Panel: Innovate Storytelling––When Data Meets Content

September 15th, 12:30pm – 1:10pm, Congress Hall

Language: English

Panel: Can Data Collaboration Give Us the Ability to Drive User-Centric Marketing?

September 15th, 15:00pm – 15:45pm, Seminar 6

Language: English

Let’s not forget about the music…
